Based in Cobourg, Ontario, The Ancient Music Trio is dedicated to sharing their love of the music of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance with audiences in Northumberland County and beyond.
 Teachers will find resources related to the music curriculum for grades 3 to 6, with an emphasis on the teaching and appreciation of music for the recorder. Music and art of exquisite beauty bloomed between the 13th and 16th centuries, although these were tumultuous times in human history. The music of this time is ingenious in structure, lively in rhythm, and delightful in melody. In our fast-paced world that thrives on technology, we need to be reminded of the value of simplicity.
